Our Mission

Pulse Arts supports local, professional artists, educators and arts organizations in the design and implementation of programs that increase access to creative learning opportunities for under-served youth in California. We believe that ART is for ALL as a necessity and not an option. We intentionally seek out micro-communities and students that are least likely to have a vibrant, supported art practice and co-create the discipline that best encourages their growth.

We are committed to empowering young people with tools to address social issues, pursue creative careers and ignite community change through the arts. This does not just include integrated arts programs but also, arts internships/mentorships, dual-enrollment studio arts support, gifted/magnet arts identification support, art therapy and community/family engagement arts experiences.

We hold true that art intersects every facet of life and want to link the most vulnerable communities as early, as often and as close to home as possible.

Testimonials

I absolutely love Pulse Arts programming. I’ve recommended them to provide Professional Development and integrated art programs. When their teachers come into the classroom everyone’s imagination and creativity runs wild. Students and teachers can express themselves in ways that feel comfortable and safe. The teaching artists are professional and patient and have taught me various techniques that I have utilized in not just my classes, but in other areas of my work. I will continue to recommend their programming to school sites.
